The focus of the session is night photography — learning how to work creatively with artificial light, reflections, shadows, and color to capture the unique atmosphere of the city after dark. The Leica Leitz Phone will also be integrated into the workshop as a versatile creative tool for spontaneous and expressive image-making.Drawing on his extensive experience in street and documentary photography, Fulvio will demonstrate how everyday urban scenes can be transformed into compelling visual stories. Participants will learn how to read light, use color intentionally, and create stronger image depth through layering, perspective, and the interplay of highlights and shadows. He was born in Bologna, Italy, 1974. His work mainly explores the social-cultural aspects and interactions between people and society. What fascinates him most is the everyday life of ordinary people , who, if analyzed with attention, always reveals extraordinary stories. He worked closely with the NGOs MSF and Amnesty International, then produced numerous photojournalistic projects which led him to win the World Press Photo in 2015, now he actively collaborates with Leica Camera as  Leica International Ambassador shooting all over the world. For Leica Camera, Fulvio Bugani has carried out two major Asian international tours in 2017 and 2024, featuring presentations, talks, workshops, and the opening of his solo exhibitions in numerous cities, including Bangkok, Beijing, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, and Manila. These tours allowed him to share his photographic vision with diverse audiences, fostering dialogue on the art of storytelling through color and light across Asia.
